Butler Family Session at Smale Riverfront Park | Cincinnati Extended Family Photographer

The Butler family met me at Smale Riverfront Park in downtown Cincinnati for a summer family session centered around one really meaningful thing—simply being together. With grandparents, grown kids, spouses, and three little grandbabies all in one place, this session felt like such a good snapshot of a season that moves quickly.

The purple color palette worked so well against the Cincinnati skyline and the soft greens around Smale Park. Between the more formal generational portraits and the quieter in-between moments, we were able to capture a little bit of everything this season holds for them right now. Plus I got to think about the purple people bridge and had purple people eater song stuck in my head 😛

As a Cincinnati family photographer, these multi-generational sessions always remind me how important it is to pause long enough to document the season you’re in before it changes again.
