Bridget, Paul & Madge – In-Home Senior Dog Session in Cincinnati, Ohio

There’s something so special about photographing the bond between people and their pets—especially when that pet has been by your side for 14 years. Bridget’s mini session with her senior dachshund, Madge, was all about documenting that love in the place where it’s lived every day: their home.

We spent a quiet morning exploring all of Madge’s favorite spots—snuggling on the couch, soaking up sunshine in the backyard, and hanging out in the cozy corners she’s claimed as her own. One of my favorite details? The little nods to her throughout the house: ramps for easy access, dachshund artwork, and tiny “easter eggs” that felt like a where’s-Waldo game of Madge sightings.

Despite her age (and lack of teeth!), Madge was full of spunk and personality. This session was a gift, both for Bridget and for me—a reminder of the joy senior dogs bring and how much love they hold in their years.
