Drew and Katie Napier’s spring wedding in Covington Kentucky

Katie and Drew were married on a perfect spring day in Covington Kentucky. I started the day getting ready with them at Hotel Covington and ended the night doing the cupids shuffle at The Madison Event Centers Emerald Ballroom.

First look between brides and their fathers always make me tear up, but when I tell you there was not a dry eye in the room after Katie’s dad came in and saw his little girl.

Since Katie and Drew wanted to take family and bridal party pictures before the ceremony, they chose to have a first look. This can really help the timeline work in a way that lets you get the best lighting and schedule of events. Some couples can be worried that they will miss that special moment coming down the aisle, but it really just creates two special moments.

After their first look, Katie and Drew decided to take some time together to say personal vows. Katie said that she was so excited to enjoy a moment with just the two of them and really convey to him why he’s her person now and forever. Which is really the spirit of the whole day, but it can be so chaotic and hard to have that moment. I am so glad they chose to do this. <3

When the whole crew gathers on top of Hotel Covington’s garage rooftop, you know its going to be a good time.

They said yes, and then we danced and cheersed and ate cake and danced some more.
